In Glendale, family-run Italian places are busiest on weekend evenings and around holidays, when reservations or call-ahead seating are worth it. BYOB is common at smaller restaurants in some states, with a modest corkage fee or none at all; the listing or a quick call will tell you. Wing-and-pizza shops across California do most of their business by delivery and price wings by the piece or in fixed counts, with sauce heat adjustable on request. Catering trays, party pizzas and sheet pies need a day's notice at most places, and more around big game days.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 5 am–1 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Los Almendros Bakery at (818) 244-0764; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Definitely my new local favorite. Was in the neighborhood when I stopped by and I'm so glad I did. The Breakfast Tortas - delicious. The Cuban Sandwich - mouthwatering, a true work of art. They also serve Potato Balls, Chorizo Empanadas, Refugiados, Breakfast Burritos, and a number of other pastries and sandwiches - all of which I can confirm are both delicious and affordably priced. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area for one of their sandwiches or pastries. This family owned business makes every customer feel valued, providing excellent customer service. Shout out to Erica, whose patience and enthusiasm for her business has earned her a couple of new regulars. Watch out, Portos!

Good place, good food. Got a breakfast burrito, chorizo as the protein. It's a good size and tastes good. Maybe 65% egg to hold everything together, burrito was egg and cheese, with chorizo, and optional beans, onion, tomato, and cilantro. Burrito came with 2 containers of salsa and 1 of pickped jalapeΓ±os, no stems! Salsa was good, smoky with some heat but not soo much, I have low tolerance. Make sure you use the wrapper and napkins, the burrito has some liquid after about halfway but not in any kind of bad way, everything seems fresh and not dry or old. Coffee was hot and they had a few creamers, milk, and sugar on the side.

From what I understand, the owner used to work for Porto’s, and while I’ve watched the Porto’s dishes I like go down in quality, because they are farmed out to other producers, the quality and taste of those dishes have stayed the same at Los Alemendros. I like that the shop is a small family run place with his daughters. I also like that they make things in smaller batches, so while things sometimes sell out quickly, it ensures that everything is very fresh and delicious. There is never a long line, plenty of parking in the back or on the street, and prices are very reasonable. They also have nice Mexican style tamales on the weekends.

This bakery is a hidden gem. The sweet bread ,pan dulce or pastries are the best and they serve great breakfast classics too. Breakfast burritos or a chorizo and egg with ham torta (the one pictured) the Cuban sandwich is also very very good!

The best bakery I have been to! I ordered my birthday cake from here and it did not disappoint. Not only was the cake designed beautifully, but it was super fresh, delicious and jam-packed with strawberry jam. Customer service was excellent as well. The employees/owners were very friendly and nice.
